Amarna was engaged by Cleanaway to provide technical services relating to the landfill gas energy opportunities. Landfill gas is also known as Biogas, which contains a large percentage of methane, which is either flared or used to fuel generator sets to produce electricity. Amarna modelled and analysed opportunities to increase the energy production and reduce the amount of flared gas across a number of sites using different vendor technologies and configurations.
