Since 2022 Amarna has been supporting HWR via a local company, and their first hydrogen refuelling station, providing detail design on the process systems. Once operational the station will start to refuel HWRs own fleet of trucks, one of the largest in New Zealand. HWR are also developing their own co-fuelling technology for diesel engines, ensuring that decarbonisation of heavy fleets can happen progressively using existing infrastructure where possible.
